Our approach to help manage change

At Town Matters we are passionate about the spatial planning and design of our cities and towns. We understand the complexity of the challenges facing many councils, government departments and agencies in planning for growth and managing the changes to neighbourhoods and streets that growth brings. We believe it is important to design processes to bring stakeholders along the journey to effectively manage change.

We work from a starting point of collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and research. This helps us to understand the problem, scope the project, and capture opportunities for planning and policy reform.

We bring to the table expertise in project scoping and design, stakeholder engagement, design led and place-based planning and engagement processes, policy and strategy development, and project reviews.

We offer an approach which allows you to bring us on board for part of or all of a project and assist you with expert advice or project deliver.

We can work with your staff around specific issues such as stakeholder engagement or issues management, urban planning and design policy or protocol reform, setting up new projects by developing project briefs or scopes, or reviewing completed work or processes to ensure your next project is informed by evidence.
